At Chimo, we value the formal and informal relationships that we have with community partners. While our services are entirely voluntary and self-referral is required, we recognized that there are times when young people and their families may reach out to others to assist in making a referral to our services.
With the written consent of the young person and their family, we encourage community partners to reach out to us directly to inquire if a referral is appropriate and to provide our staff with the necessary information to connect with those interested in services.

Point in Time
Point in Time Centre for Children, Youth and Parents (PinT) offers a wide range of supports and services to children, youth and families in Haliburton County. These services are provided primarily through three service clusters: Family Support, Mental Health Services and Youth Justice.
BGC Kawarthas
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes (Club) is a registered non-profit charitable organization devoted to serving and strengthening children, youth and families throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Frontenac Youth Services
Frontenac Youth Services is a non-profit Children’s Mental Health Centre which has been providing assistance to adolescents struggling emotionally and behaviourally (12-18 years) and their families within the Durham Region since 1972. Frontenac Youth Services is accredited by the Canadian Centre for Accreditation.
Kinark Youth & Family Services
Kinark serves more than 9,900 children and youth each year in our three program streams: Community-Based Child and Youth Mental Health, Autism and Forensic Mental Health/Youth Justice Services.
Canadian Mental Health Association
CMHA branches across Canada provide a wide range of innovative services and supports to people who are experiencing mental illness and their families. These services are tailored to the needs and resources of the communities where they are based. One of the core goals of these services is to help people with mental illness develop the personal tools to lead meaningful and productive lives.
Children’s Mental Health Ontario
Children's Mental Health Ontario (CMHO) works to identify and develop solutions to important policy issues affecting the child and youth mental health sector. We represent more than 85 accredited community-based children’s mental health centres that provide treatment and support to children, youth and families. This includes targeted prevention, early intervention, short- and long-term counselling and therapy, and intensive services such as residential care.
Ministry of Children and Youth Services (MCYS)
In 2003, the Ministry of Children and Youth Services was created to:
make it easier for families to find the services to give kids the best start in life,
make it easier for families to access the services they need at all stages of a child's development,
and help youth become productive adults.
Mission:
The ministry is working with government and community partners to develop and implement policies, programs and a service system that helps give children the best possible start in life, prepare youth to become productive adults and make it easier for families to access the services they need at all stages of a child's development.
