CELEBRATING THE HOPES AND DREAMS OF CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES
CHIMO
On September 9, 2010 Chimo will be opening it's doors to a new service.
Chimo will be offering a walk-in clinic to parents, children, youth and sometimes workers to come in and talk with someone about a single matter. Youth 12 and over can come alone or with parents and parents can come alone or with child/youth.
This session will typically last between an hour to an hour and a half and will work on first come first served basis. At the Walk-in Clinic you can come and speak with one of our workers about a matter that is affecting your life including but not limited to:
Or any other issue that is making coping difficult right now.
We will not deal with medication or medical issues and you will be referred to your family doctor or hospital if that is what you attend the clinic for.
We will meet with you as first come first served and help you develop some strategies that would be helpful at this time. If we are not able to address the issue in a single session, we can schedule a follow up or refer you to the appropriate service either within Chimo or in the community.
This Walk-in Clinic will be held Thursdays from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Lindsay Office located at 227 Kent St W (on the main street beside bell world).
