Parent Guidance Clinic

What is it?

An opportunity for parents to have one meeting with an experienced counselor without committing to ongoing service.


For Who?

1. for parents of children / youth under the age of 18 and / or families living in City of Kawarthalakes / Durham / Peterborough / Haliburton and the Northumberland counties who would like some help to address a particular child related problem right away



2. for those who would like to use a single session when they need it without committing to ongoing service



3. for parents who wish to use the service while they are on the waiting list for another Chimo service

How Do Parents Make An Appointment?

Parents call (705) 324-3300 as early as they can the week they want the appointment as the appointments are offered on a first come first served basis.

Who will they see?

A regular member of the counseling staff, all of whom have specialized training and experience in working with children and families.

Where are the meetings?

Our office is located at 2 Kent 51.W. Unit #3, Lindsay.


Can parents use the service more than once?
Yes, absolutely. They may use it as often as they need it.
