Adventure Quest
What is it?
Adventure Quest is a 1/2 day program for youth who are
struggling at school and are in need of extra support and
guidance to promote success. The program helps students
become more self-confident, communicate better both at
home and school, work on group skills, peer relations, making
decisions and solving conflicts. As well, the program
offers in home support to assist families with their concerns
such as communication, problem solving and setting limits,
etc. Family involvement is a must!
The Adventure Quest program attempts to provide transportation
for youths participating in the program, and works
collaboratively with the school to provide a credit. Group
sizes are small and generally consist of 6 co-ed group members.
What do you do at Adventure Quest?
At Adventure Quest youths participate in fun, exciting, and
challenging activities in a physically & emotionally safe,
positive environment. Youth are given the opportunity to
climb the rock wall & low ropes elements, participate in
group challenges, group discussions and other adventure
based activities.
For Who?
Adventure Quest is for youths who are in grades 7 through
10 within the City of Kawartha Lakes who are struggling at
school.
When does it happen?
Adventure Quest facilitates two groups each school year.
One in the fall semester from September to January, and the
second group in the February to June Semester.
Where are the meetings?
Adventure Quest groups are held at the Boys & Girls Club of Kawartha Lakes, 107 Lindsay St. S., Lindsay ON.
